A recent AAA survey found that 61% of Americans are actually afraid to ride in a Robo-Taxi. Just 13% said they would trust a Robo-Taxi to deliver them safely to their destination — and that 13% is up from just 9% in 2024…
Two things…
One, these results don’t really fit with the usage data.
Google’s Waymo Robo-Taxi just launched in Austin, Texas on March 5, 2025. The entire Waymo fleet is just 100 cars, and they operate on Uber’s ride-hailing network.
In the first month of operation, Waymo Robo-Taxis had captured a 20% share of all rides hailed on the Uber platform. 20%…
At any given time, there may be 2,000 human Uber drivers on the road in Austin. In 2024, they provided 130,000 rides. Still, with just 100 cars on the road, Waymo is currently providing one out of every five rides…
That is incredible growth. And it suggests that the 13% number for people happy to take Robo-Taxi is way too low.
Now for number two…
If 60% of Americans are outright afraid of Robo-Taxis, we could extrapolate out and say that 60% of Americans do not see the opportunity, that 60% of investors are ignoring Robo-Taxi stocks…
That, ladies in gents, is why some of the best Robo-Taxi stocks – the companies that provide the hardware and software that make them work – are still extremely undervalued. This is a golden opportunity…
Safety in Numbers
The data suggests that Robo-Taxis are safer than human-driven cars.
The National Highway and Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) concludes that 93% of all car accidents, resulting in 2.3 million injuries and 40,000 deaths in the U.S. every year, come from driver error.
According to the Financial Times, if cars are made fully and safely driverless, then 99.7 percent of road accident–related injuries would be eliminated.
And insurance company Swiss RE found that over the course of 2 million miles driven by Waymo Robo-Taxis, there was an 88% reduction in property damage claims and 92% reduction in bodily injury claims.
Maybe that convinces you that you shouldn’t be afraid to ride in a Robo-Taxis…or maybe you still feel more comfortable with a person behind the wheel. That’s fine – we’re not writing a sales piece for the Robo-Taxi industry. This is an investment letter, intended to share profitable ideas with you…
So with that in mind, check this out…
68% Gain In Two Months
Back in March, Christian DeHaemer recommended one such company to his American Stock investor subscribers. The company makes radar sensors that can “see” in the dark and also in rainy weather. LiDAR can’t do that…
The stock was $1.05 when Christian recommended it. It recently hit $1.77 a share, good for a 68% gain in two months…
Aside from having “DeHaemer” for a last name, we call him Hammer cuz he always nails it!
This undiscovered gem of a company is partnered with Nvidia, it’s already been selected as a tech provider for one big OEM company and is being evaluated by 15 others. That’s why the company is expected to grow revenue a whopping 300% in fiscal 2026 when Robo-Taxi service really explodes onto the scene…and that’s why Hammer has a $15 price target for the stock…
So if you don’t want to ride in a Robo-Taxi, that’s fine, just don’t ignore the massive investment potential the Robo-Taxi revolution represents…
Take care, I’ll talk to you soon.
