We’re Building a Wall!

In the post-election chaos…

With America more divided than ever before, split asunder between two warring parties…

Something remarkable is taking place. Democrats and Republicans are coming together, linking arms, and uniting forces to… build a wall!?

Yes, you read that correctly. There’s one urgent issue that both sides unanimously agree on: building a wall on our southern border.

Obama planned it. Trump laid the foundation. Biden is intent on completing it.

Construction is already underway as you read this. This wall is tall and strong, and it stretches from end-to-end from Texas to California.

It’s a physical wall that costs billions of dollars and has created 100,000+ jobs. It’s loved by Democrats and Republicans alike, without a single voice opposed. And it’s just in time.

According to a statement released by the Pentagon, it’s “urgent” and America’s “top priority”— that’s why this wall is being built as fast as possible.

So what the heck am I talking about?

Now, it may not be the wall you were expecting…

But this wall is a lot bigger, more robust, and more effective than any other kind of barrier on our border. And the unusual unanimous support it’s received ensures its completion.

I’m talking about America’s “wall” of new 5G cell phone towers we’re building up and down the border.

5G is the Great Wall Against China

China is trying to invade America through the airwaves. According to The Pentagon, it’s the biggest threat we’re facing today.

Here’s why: China is able to exploit the holes in America’s vulnerable 4G networks.

They’re using advanced spyware that can potentially invade the messages and track the movements of every American.

But it gets worse. There’s a reason why our southern border is ground zero.

Illegal phones with even greater vulnerabilities are coming into the country. There are millions of them here already, and thousands more are arriving daily.

Almost all of them come from Mexico, because our southern neighbor uses Chinese-based technologies for their cell networks. These phones are outrageously popular in Mexico because of their low cost and wide availability. But they’re also wide-open to the spyware used by the cyber army of the People’s Republic.

That’s why Obama and Trump have both long upheld America’s nationwide ban on these phones. And yet, the ban hasn’t done much to stop them from flooding over the border.

So what to do?

Confiscating them isn’t a practical way to stem the tide — it’d be expensive and nearly impossible. And besides, even with these phones gone, it still wouldn’t solve the vulnerabilities in our 4G networks.

The only solution that’s 100% effective is to completely upgrade our cell networks from coast to coast.

Enter America’s long-awaited upgrade to 5G: it’s not just a fancy improvement, it’s an absolute essential for America’s security.

The Fight for America’s Airwaves

The Pentagon is eager to see the 5G rollout happen as quickly as possible.

Former Secretary of Defense Mark Esper said earlier this year that the world must “wake up to the challenges presented by China.”

As reported in the Wall Street Journal: “We can only [defend America and its allies] by working together to maintain a ready and capable alliance network that is prepared to deter any threat, defend any ally, and defeat any foe.”

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo made this issue his highest priority on his recent trip to Europe, encouraging all of America’s allies to follow our lead.

But what really grabbed my notice was the near-unanimous support of the intelligence community. In my opinion, the scariest part of this story is what we don’t know.

Head of Senate Intelligence Committee John Cornyn has made 5G one of his highest priorities. He hasn’t listed his reasons but he’s been unequivocal about their importance.

And former Congressional Intelligence Chairman Mike Rogers is so invested in this issue he’s dedicated all of his post-congress work to it. He’s even formed a special policy action group called “5G Action Now.”

It’s stood out to me that every single person who’s had access to secret briefings suddenly becomes a zealot on this issue.

Billions Are on the Way

Now that it’s a top priority, America is loosening the purse strings.

It’s about to receive a major boost in funding from the U.S. Senate — and this new legislation is a bipartisan effort from the Senate’s heavyweights.

Democrat Senator Mark Warner isn’t known for introducing many bills with Republicans. But he’s been working closely with Republican Marco Rubio trying to co-author a bill that everyone can agree on.

By my count, that’s the first and only time we’ve seen this kind of kumbaya among the Senate’s opposing members.

I should also note, Mark Warner’s support is especially important to this cause. Warner is a former telecommunications executive, and he knows the mobile industry better than anyone else in the Senate.

He also knows that a cell phone network in the wrong hands can bring a country to its knees — he survived dozens of hacking and spy incidents during his career, and they’ve made him sober to the realities of modern cyber warfare. It’s also the reason he wants to help America’s 5G companies with a cash injection of more than a billion dollars.

That’s a lot of support!

There’s No Bigger 5G Story Than This One

As an investor, I’ve been following this one closely. I honestly can’t think of a time when mobile communications have received so much support from the defense and intelligence communities.

Now, I’m sure you’re wondering: what’s the best way to invest in something like this?

Well, it won’t be through any large players. Buying into Verizon, Apple, or Intel is obviously not going to give you the exposure you want — they’re too big to move the needle, and in my opinion, most of these big stocks are overpriced at these levels.

I personally have been most excited about a mobile tech company named Mavenir. Based in Richardson, Texas, they’re the architects of the cloud software that runs 5G. In my opinion, their cybersecurity background makes them the perfect U.S. company to contribute to a successful 5G rollout.

From an investment standpoint, they get full “Goldilocks approval” for being the perfect size. They’re big enough to matter on the 5G front, with all the patents and tech that make a difference. And yet they’re still small enough to really grow with the expanding 5G market.

But there’s just one problem with Mavenir — we can’t get shares yet.

They announced their IPO on October 6 of this year. I was ready to buy; I’d even set aside money to join in the offering. But by November, fluctuating market conditions gave them cold feet and they canceled it at the last minute. It’s not clear when they’ll try again. Oh well!

But thankfully, we’re still in luck. This emergency 5G rollout is going to be so big that we’re going to see a lot of big winners — and the Pentagon is making sure of it.

My colleague Jimmy Mengel has put together a list of three 5G companies that have been mentioned by name in all of the Pentagon briefings. Owning shares of these companies is a great way to put yourself in line for some massive gains, and so I highly recommend you take a look while you still can.

I should add here that I follow Jimmy’s advice personally and I’m a believer. (In fact, I just closed out a 276% gain from one of his cannabis recommendations, making me more than $10,000 in just three months — my fastest win of 2020. So I have good reasons for being a fan!)

Jimmy gave me a sneak peek at the 5G companies on his list and truly, it’s some of the best research I’ve seen on this topic. And not a moment too soon.

America is building a wall! Considering the high threat level we’ve seen from China in this fight for 5G, it’s about time.
